www.pastoralcare.org.uk, www.christiancounselling.org.uk, www.christiancounsellors.org.uk, www.sojourners.org.uk , www.sojourners.co.uk, and the name ‘Sojourners’ are used to describe and refer to the not-for-profit service provided by Sojourners Christian Counselling and Pastoral care service. In reference to the Sojourners Christian Counselling Directory and the service of Sojourners the pre-mentioned domain names all come under the service of Sojourners, and the Sojourners website service respectively.

Using the services provided by Sojourners and accessing any information from the Sojourners Counselling Directory on the Sojourners website, means you agree to the terms and conditions of use. The terms and conditions may be changed without prior notice at any time so please keep yourself updated for any changes. If you do not agree with the Terms and Conditions, do not use this Website. Sojourners does not control and is not responsible for the prices of such services, availability, competency, suitability or professionalism.

Sojourners Christian Counsellors Directory

Sojourners Counselling Counsellors Directory is a directory of Christian counsellors. We hold no judgment on any individual person or organisation listed in the directory; but ask that those who register agree with the Sojourners terms and conditions and statement of faith.

Sojourners provides profile listings of Christian Counsellors and Counselling Organisations/services, but are not responsible for the competency nor professionalism of the service provided by any Counsellor or Counselling Organisation/service. The profile information seen on the Sojourners website of any Counsellor or Organisation is as per the information provided by that individual or organisation. We are not liable for any false information given, but endeavour to make checks for any Counsellors profile submitted.

The registration form for Counsellors is designed to ensure that those registering with Sojourners meet registration criteria set out by Sojourners, in terms of their qualifications, accreditation which exhibits their professionalism and accountability as a Christian Counsellor.

We strongly recommend that you also verify the information provided by a Counsellor, as we will not be held responsible for any false information provided, referred to and displayed within the Sojourners Christian Counselling Directory.

In the event that Sojourners receives a complaint against a Counsellor listed, Sojourners will take a complain seriously, but is not responsible for that individual or organisation. Sojourners Christian Counselling Directory is a directory and has no responsibility to the individual making the complaint. Sojourners does have the right to remove any Counsellor listed within the Sojourners Christian Counselling Directory, and cancel their membership at any time. Sojourners is not responsible for any member listed in the directory and an entry within the directory does not mean that Sojourners endorses or accredits the qualifications and/or counselling skills of counsellors appearing in it.

Sojourners make every effort possible to make information in the Sojourners Christian Counselling Directory as accurate as possible, however cannot and will not be held responsible for changes such as name, address, phone number, qualifications and memberships with recognised bodies - this is up to respective owners of the advert to inform Sojourners of any changes, and up to users of Sojourners to verify with counsellors that the information is correct.

In agreeing with the terms and conditions, you understand and agree that Sojourners does not warrant or guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any information in or provided in connection with the Counsellors registered within Sojourners Christian Counselling Directory.

Under no circumstances will Sojourners be liable for :

a) Any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages that result from either: the used reliance on the Sojourners website or Counselling Directory;

b) The inability to use Sojourners website and Counselling Directory due to mistakes, omissions within the website, interruptions whilst accessing the website, termination of website provision, the deletion of files or e-mail, any technical errors and defects to the service, and existence/result of viruses, and pop-ups. This includes:

Sojourners does not represent or warrant that the information on this website is accurate, complete or current (Sojourners endeavours to maintain good data accuracy). Neither Sojourners nor any of its representatives will be liable for damages arising out of or in connection with the use of this site. This is a comprehensive limitation of liability that applies to all damages of any kind, including compensatory, direct, indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, income or profit, loss of or damage to property and claims of third parties.

Student Counsellors registered are students in Christian Counsellor training. Student counsellors information and profiles are for information purposes only.

Sojourners website, and all entries that appear in Sojourners Website under the domain names of www.pastoralcare.org.uk, www.christiancounselling.org.uk, www.christiancounsellors.org.uk, www.sojourners.org.uk , and www.sojourners.co.uk are for the purpose of informing the reader and visitor to the sojourners website. Each individual who submits their Counselling profile, provides us with proof of qualifications and insurance cover or membership and/ or accreditation with a recognised professional body (such as ACC, BACP and the Counselling Society ) at that time of registration. It is strongly recommended that you verify all the qualifications and membership details of the counsellor personally, as we only ask for details on submission. After submission some of details of a counsellor may change, if the counsellor seeks to update their details. We cannot and will not be held responsible for any false information.

Sojourners shall have no liability at all for direct or indirect, special or consequential damages, relating in any way to the information provided. Sojourners is not in any way responsible for any claim made, or any information provided. An entry made in the Sojourners website does not mean that Sojourners endorses or accredits the qualifications and/or skills of counsellors appearing in it. Sojourners is a not-for-profit information service provider, it does not accredit, train or endorse the counsellors or counselling practice of a said counsellor.

Student Counsellors registered are students in Christian Counsellor training. Student counsellors information and profiles are for information purposes only. It is recommended that the Counselling Organisation/Service Manager that a student counsellor is training under the auspices of, be contacted rather than the student counsellor themselves for any counselling inquiry

When submitting a profile on Sojourners Christian Counselling Directory, you are agreeing for all the information given to be made publicly available on the Sojourners website.

The information you are required to give:

Name, town / city, county, first half of postcode.

• Contact Details

Telephone number, email address

• A personal profile

A place where you can share more information about your Christian counselling practice, you, your counselling approach, your call to counselling etc. Anything that you think is relevant about you and your counselling.

• Training information

Website address of the course you took for your counselling training

Information about your qualifications

• Counselling experience

Accreditation and membership information of professional counselling bodies.

Proof of training and accreditation

Updating a profile

To update a profile. For professionalism, it is required that all the information a Counsellor or Organisation has submitted be resubmitted with the adjustments. This way any adjustment that is relative to accreditation and/or qualifications can be checked. There is no additional charge for resubmitting a profile.
